Class price increase
As all of you are aware, these are troubled economic times. No firm or event is unaffected, including Wichita Dance Beat. The following rate changes were presented and approved unanimously by the board.
1) The following rates will take effect August 6, 2009.
a) membership fees:
Unchanged
b) Lesson Fees
Members $7 (up from $5)
Members bringing first time guest $5
Non Members $10 (up from $7)
First lesson $0 (down from $7)
It is unfortunate that in these troubled times, we must raise rates. However, we have not changed our rates from the beginning which was February 2008. and cannot continue without jeopardizing the economic health of our club. We also wanted people to come try us out, as they seek alternative venues of entertainment, and have therefore reduced our first time visitor price to FREE, and offered our members a $2 (28%) discount for bringing someone new for the first time.
The members of the board of Wichita Dance Beat are committed to providing the very best in instruction, and the very best experience in west coast swing experience in the city, and be the top club for west coast swing in the state of Kansas. We are committed to bringing value to our members, and our guests, and will seek out every opportunity to provide that experience and value
We believe that, even with the rate increase shown above, we are providing great value to our membership. The price of $7 for two hours for the best instruction Wichita has to offer, by a nationally recognized Professional like Will Carlton is, we believe, a great value. In addition, we provide an hour of social dancing every Thursday night. That’s SEVEN DOLLARS total for an evening!!! Where else can you get that kind of Value? A two hour evening at the movies, without drinks and popcorn, will set you back more than that. And you don’t get the benefit of social interaction, and great exercise.
